Skipchen @ Supernormal

This year we are thrilled to have our crew food provided by The Bristol Skipchen.

They are a voluntary run food waste campaign whose entire menu is composed of only ‘waste’ or ‘surplus’ food served on a pay-as-you-feel basis. They are part of a pioneering movement with an overarching aim of putting itself out of existence by abolishing avoidable food waste.

Skipchen has successfully run a campaign cafe for 8 months in Stokes Croft, Bristol and have been involved in projects supporting communities in the struggles against structures that prioritize profit over people. These include Rising Up Bristol , Reclaim The Power Didcot Anti Coal Action Camp, Leeds Community Project & Calais Migrant Camp.

Throughout the summer they have taken their food waste campaign mobile in their Food Rescue Ambulance to spread awareness, feed more bellies & rescue more food around the country!

Find them on Facebook, @Bristol Skipchen & WordPress.
