Supernormal will be opening its doors in just 2 short weeks, but we’ve still got some surprises up our sleeves.
First off, we welcome to the bill the fine flesh pop from Wenonoah, extraterrestrial skronk of Honey Ride Me A Goat and hypnotic space jazz from Lions of Rome.
This year we’ve invited MFA students from Glasgow School of Art to consider the “artist plinth” within the context of Supernormal. Artists include: Uesung Lee, Jamie Russom, Rodrigo Red, Judith Leupi, Katie Schwab and Sam Cook.
The plinth project will form the basis for a discussion on Saturday afternoon. Rounding out the discussion programme we’re also thrilled to welcome back our old friends from Talkaoke.
And speaking of “aoke”s, after last year’s sad cancellation, we are thrilled to announce that, come hell or (more likely) high water we will be hosting Fall-vs-Sabbath-aoke at SN15!
For the Sunday night, we’re offering a selection of late-night unamplified options. The silent disco will return, going lo-fi and DIY courtesy of Arts Radio and the DIY Transmitter workshop. If the silent Disco’s not for you then we’ll be opening up The Vortex for silent films and organising some nocturnal wide games to boot.
This year our friends at Islington Mill will take over the Pink Shed to become it’s own mill-style-micro-venue where artists and audience alike are welcome to enter, join in, observe, participate, wonder.
There’s also kids films, new workshops, DJs and more besides on the programme page.
